My name is Jeffrey Baker. I am an accredited fully qualified Civil Funeral Celebrant based in, Queensbury, West Yorkshire. I trained with Civil Ceremonies Ltd and am both a practicing celebrant and a member of Council of the Institute of Civil Funeral Celebrants (IOCF).
I am a retired Police Inspector with West Yorkshire Police, having served for thirty years. I can empathise with your grieving process and the need for sensitivity - having had to deal with many cases throughout my career, as well as in my personal life.
My aim is to provide a meaningful funeral ceremony, which both celebrates the life of the deceased and is a fitting tribute of the life they lived. The ceremony is uniquely created for you after we meet and will only be used after you have approved it.
Civil Funerals are created in liaison with you - for example you may want to play some special music, sing a hymn or a song and include readings and poetry. You may, or may not, want a prayer or two. At the heart of the ceremony will probably be a tribute or eulogy, which reflects the life of the person who has died.
Please do not hesitate to contact me if you wish to discuss anything further.
